Scientists from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) have captured incredible footage using a specialized Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) from Boxfish Robotics. The six-minute video, premiering on November 19th at 7 pm AEDT, takes us on a journey to the Beagle Marine Park, a geological wonder that was once part of the land bridge connecting Victoria and Tasmania. In August last year, the IMAS team braved the Bass Strait's rough conditions to conduct a crucial monitoring survey across 50 transects within this protected area.
