Group Camping Reservations
For group camping reservations, please look at our A sites under the availability calendar below. All of our group sites can now be booked online. Please call 703-323-6600 with any questions.
Please read all instructions before booking a site.
- Select your desired campsite along with the corresponding date and click on its green box.
HINT: Available dates appear in green. Use the date selector or green double arrows to see future dates.
HINT: Some units may not be web bookable. Please call the park for information regarding non web-bookable campsites. - Click 'Reserve Unit' in the pop-up window.
- Log in with a Parktakes account, or create a new account with a work or personal email.
- On the Booking Details page, complete all applicable boxes in the “Extra Information” section. All fields with an asterisk (*) are required.
- Please enter the maximum number of attendees for your stay.If you have more attendees than a campsite area can hold, you may need to book an additional campsite or change locations.
- After completing all information, check the box indicating that you agree with the terms and conditions.
- Select “Book Site”.Your shopping cart will appear.
Optional: To make another reservation, select “Reservations” at the top of the Shopping Cart page. - Review your cart and select “Go to Checkout.”
- Enter your payment.
- Select “Complete”
- A window will open verifying receipt of your reservation. You will receive an email with your receipt and a copy of the rules and regulations.

Family Camping
Family camping sites are limited to no more than 6 people, and no more than 2 tents.
More than 6 people or 2 tents will require an additional camping site.
Family campsites are offered for reservation online as well as available for walk-ups the day of.

Flexible Group Camping sitescan accommodate up to 18 people with a central fire pit. Multiple Flexible Group sites can be combined to accommodate the group size of your choice.
*Fees for your entire stay are due at time of reservation
**Weekend/Holiday rates apply weekends (Friday-Sunday). Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. These holidays require a minimum 2-night stay.

CAMPING - 100 WOODED SITES:
- No electric or water hook-ups.
- Each site has a grill, picnic table and fire ring.
- RVs up to 25 feet are permitted (no hookups). There are 4 "back-in" RV sites.
- Each site provides space for at least one car.
AMENITIES:
- Potable water spigots
- Bathhouse with sinks
- Showers
- Flushing toilets
- Dump station (is included in the camping fee. If you are not camping the fee is $28.)

PETS ARE ALLOWED:
- Pets must never be left unattended.
- Pets must be on a leash in accordance with Fairfax County Leash Laws.
Cancellation/Change Policy
- Cancellations/Changes more than 60 days before arrival can be made without charge by calling the park office
- Cancellations/Changes 14-59 days before arrival will incur a $25 processing fee
- Cancellations 2-13 days before arrival will incur a $25 processing fee and forfeiture of the first night’s stay
- Cancellations 2 days or less before arrival will incur a $25 processing fee and forfeiture of the first two night’s stay

Burke Lake Park also offers primitive wilderness camping. Camp in the back woods with no amenities, just like the good old days. The wilderness camping area of Burke Lake Park is located in the eastern part of the park bordered by the Fairfax County Parkway. Pricing is $5 per person. There is a minimum of 7 campers for reservation needed with a limit of 5 groups or 100 campers allowed in the wilderness camping area at one time. The park's centerpiece is a 218 acre lake with a phenomenal largemouth bass population that makes it one of Virginia's most popular fishing holes. Bait and tackle sales, row boat rentals and a boat launch are also available. Visit Burke Lake Park Marina.
Applicants for use must present a "Leave No Trace" certificate of completion at the time of reservation in order to receive approval to use the Wilderness Camping Area. Each group must have at least one Leave No Trace certified member present during any use of the Wilderness Camping Area.
Although campfires are often an integral part of the camping experience, Fairfax CountyPark Authority does not permit patrons to use or store firewood at Fairfax County Park Authority parks unless the firewood was provided by FCPA. Firewood can house nonnative invasive insects and diseases that can be destructive to the natural resources in our parks. Transporting firewood from one area to another can lead to the spread of forests pests and diseases which may kill trees and destroy or alter natural communities. Emerald ash borers, Asian longhorned beetles, oak wilt, and others can all be introduced or reintroduced to FCPA parks by moving firewood. Even if firewood has no apparent signs of insect damage or disease, the wood could still be host to these damaging threats. Pursuant to Virginia Code § 10.1-1142, camp fires are prohibited between 12a.m. – 4p.m. from February 1 through April 30.

No outside firewood is permitted to be used or stored on FCPA property. Only wood bought at FCPA campgrounds is permitted to be used or stored on FCPA property.
