407 Maple Street Nampa died at a' Boise hospital Tuesday morning He was bom Feb 8 1890 in Georgetown Idaho He was a retired contractor After being reared and living in Bear Lake County many years he married Martha Stoker June 20 1917 at the IDS Temple in Salt Lake City They moved -in 1955 to Nampa after his retirement He was a member of the Second Ward LDS church and was extremely active being a high priest He also was a member of the War Eagle Barracks 459 Veterans of World War I Nampa and the Col Stotsenberg Post 3465 VFW in Nampa Survivors include wife Martha four daughters Jessie Plant of Ogden Marye Ruth Wood of Othello Wash Twila May Lantz of Medford Ore and Lillie Lucille Warren of Hillsboro Ore one son James Latham Mesa Wash a sister Emeline Freeman Caldwell one brother Charles Latham Salt Lake City 12 grandchil dren three great-grandchildren Services to be announced by Shepherd Chapel at Nampa PotterHeads Police Force Auxiliary PAYETTE auxiliary police force recently organized elected its first officers Monday evening Named as captain is Norman Potter with Cal Leishman and Ron Collingwood sergeants Potter is a clerk at the railroad depot at Ontario makes his home in Payette and is a first sergeant of the Payette National Guard unit Leishman is a sales representative and Collingwood a plumber The three are married and have families New uniforms to be paid for by members were selected at the meeting with shoulder patches to be purchased by the department out of the police fund Chief of Police Puntney announced that identification cards with picture and proposal would continue he one-way couplet to Ustick Road The State Highway De- -jartment plans to establish Cleveland Boulevard from South Tenth Avenue to Georgia Avenue as a one-way street eastbound and Blaine Street from South Tenth to Georgia Avenues as a one-way westbound street after 1964 The streets are the route of US Highway 30 in Caldwell Davenport said the idea of elongating the couplet was dismissed as being too far for the pattern The idea of extending Blaine Street out to Ustick Road also was discussed including the detouring of the Wilson Slough Canal After much discussion those present agreed that civil engineers should plot the area and draw maps so that the Chamber of Commerce and Caldwell Unlimited officials would have definite data to show future prospective buyers of land in the area involved City Offers Help Mayor Vassar said the city could supply technical help from its engineers Melvin Lewis and Paul Anstey and their staff Lewis told the Council that the first order of business is to determine the highest and best use of the land for future development He said a plan with rights-of-way shown should be developed and zoning should be considered Hoff said
